Job Description

Day to Day Responsibilities of this Position and Description of Project:

Work closely with QA Functional tester to run batch and load/update data to backend database.

  • Designs and develops test plans and test strategy to support all QA testing activities with special emphasis on Informatica and batch
  • Develops and executes test cases based on System Design documents, ORMs and other available documentation.
  • •Documents test results and develops metrics based on the various test phases for a project
  • •Prepares test summary results and notes for a release
  • Provides guidance and quality assurance to all batch testing activities for all phases of testing
  • Provides estimates for various phases of testing for each project
  • Provides cross training of application/technical knowledge to other individuals within the QA and business organizations
  • Queries the backend to troubleshoot any data related issues
  • • Analyzes technical specifications
  • Formulates test data strategies
  • Creates test data for comprehensive test coverage
  • Creates and tracks defects to resolution
  • Reviews the data models, maps and documents to ensure that the design solution meets the requirements
  • Participates in SWAT meetings to troubleshoot any defects arising out of testing, provides technical expertise in the area to get the issues resolved.
  • Assures Batch quality in different environments
  • Works closely with Development, QA and Business groups to understand their testing needs for various phases of testing (Unit, functional, Integration, UAT, regression, performance, etc.)
  • Communicate testing expectations to project managers and project team members. Experience within 3-tier architecture environment. Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 7 years related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior QA experience for the Business Area to be tested, primarily Healthcare related. Strong technical skills, including SQL query and the use of any specific toolset applicable for the project. Prior experience leading a QA team on a strategic project. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to capture key information from written text and summarize without losing content. Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve problems and ability to effectively apply a broad range of professional concepts, practices and methods in very complex and diverse circumstances. Comprehensive knowledge of software testing techniques and methodologies. Strong working knowledge of Application Lifecycle Mahagement tool.
