J.B. Robinson Jewelers was founded in Cleveland, Ohio in 1929 by Joseph B. Robinson. His son, Larry, grew the business from one store to nearly 100.
Belden Jewelers, LeRoy’s Jewelers, Rogers Jewelers and Shaw’s Jewelers were all part of a family business originally founded by Henry Shaw in 1910 in Lorain, Ohio.
Also a family concern, the first Osterman Jewelers opened in 1922 in Toledo, Ohio. The owners were Louis Osterman and Ruby Levey.
Brothers Max and Albert Goodman opened the first Goodman Jewelers in 1907. The store was located in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The first Weisfield Jewelers opened in 1917 in Seattle, Washington. The original proprietors were brothers Leo and Sam Weisfield and Ralph Goldberg.
Marks & Morgan Jewelers
The first Marks and Morgan store was opened in 1909 in Savannah, Georgia, by Sam Segall.
