Overview

Educational Services of America (ESA) is the nation’s leading provider of K-12 alternative and special education schools and programs for students who are at risk of dropping out and for students with special needs. We partner with 260 public school districts in 22 states and the District of Columbia to serve 12,000 students each year in more than 170 schools and programs.

Benefits
ESA offers the following benefits, depending on eligibility:
  • Paid Time Off—a bank of hours available to all full-time employees. PTO is renewed each year on each employee’s eligible anniversary date. This time may be used as employees need, such as for illness (family or self), vacation, or personal time. Employees are awarded their PTO hours on the 31st day of eligible employment.
  • Medical Insurance—a health-care plan available for all eligible employees and their dependents. Eligible employees can enroll in the ESA health-care plan immediately upon hire. The ESA Health-care Plan is a PPO plan and offers employees two plan options.
  • Dental/Vision Insurance—a voluntary dental/vision plan available for employees and their dependents. Eligible employees can enroll in the ESA dental/vision plan immediately upon hire.
  • Term Life Insurance—all eligible employees are enrolled, upon their date of eligibility, in a Group Life plan provided by the Company Long-term Disability Insurance—all eligible employees are enrolled in a Long-term Disability plan provided by the Company.
  • 401(k) Plan—ESA provides all employees the opportunity to participate in the Company’s 401(k) plan. Employees are eligible after six months of continuous service.
  • Supplemental Insurance—all eligible employees can participate in a variety of supplemental insurance plans as a way to enhance and customize their ESA benefits package. Premium Only/125 Plan—the Company offers all eligible employees the opportunity to enhance their earnings by participating in the Company’s 125 Plan. This plan allows employees to pay their portion of their insurance premiums on a pre-tax basis.
