Overview

The St. Joseph Health System (SJHS) is an integrated healthcare delivery system sponsored by the St. Joseph Health Ministry and organized into three regions:

  • Northern California
  • Southern California
  • West Texas/Eastern New Mexico


We provide a full range of care from facilities including 14 acute care hospitals, home health agencies, hospice care, outpatient services, skilled nursing facilities, community clinics, and physician organizations.

In our award-winning facilities, as well as non-traditional settings like school rooms and shopping malls, SJHS maintains a "continuum of care," matched to the diverse needs of the urban centers, smaller cities and rural communities in three states who depend on us every day.

Careers

Employees on “Active” status and regular (not temporary) employees with standard work hours of 20 hours or more per week are eligible for benefits. All employees are eligible for the SJHS Employee Assistance Plan (EAP).

Eligible dependents of enrolled employees may be enrolled for medical, dental and vision coverage with coverage for dependent life insurance as permitted by law and the insurance policy. 

Eligible dependents generally include your:

  • Yourself
  • Spouse
  • Unmarried children
    • Up to age 19
    • Up to age 26 if they are full-time student (some restrictions apply)
    • Disabled child of any age, provided they are incapable of self-support due to a mental or physical disability, is listed as a dependent on your federal tax return, and is approved by your medical plan.
