My client is a leading full-service design engineering firm with over 350 professionals offering exceptional Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection and Civil design engineering services with 12 offices throughout California, Arizona, Texas and Colorado. 

Job Description
My client is seeking an Electrical Engineering Project Manager in their Austin, TX office to design electrical systems for commercial office buildings, manufacturing, industrial, healthcare and educational projects.

Responsibilities

         As a Senior Engineer, carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved electrical engineering techniques or procedures.

         Experience in project and construction management and cost estimating.

         Markets the firm’s capabilities within the electrical engineering specialty to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients. Prepares proposals for potential projects.

         Responsible for the design of power and lighting systems, short circuit and coordination studies, stand by generation and fire alarm systems.

         Responsible for specifications, and project start up and construction administration, extensive field inspection and support.

         Perform system evaluation and analyses.

         May supervise electrical engineering and support personnel: evaluates performance; assigns and schedules work; establishes project priorities and standards; provides technical support of project work.

         Must be able to mentor, train, and transfer knowledge to aspiring engineers and other staff working in the field.

         Prepares and presents studies and analysis.

         Involvement in all aspects of electrical engineering, drafting and design.

         Knowledge of Auto Cad and Revit design is preferred.

         Adherence to clients' design standards and requirements.

 



Job Requirements


Requirements

         Equivalent of Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering with specialization in power and lighting systems (low to medium voltage)

         Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience in lighting, power and control systems; fire alarms, telecommunication, nurse call etc.

         Extensive experience in health care preferred.

         Other experiences in higher education, retail, commercial, entertainment, and aviation a plus.
