Job Description

Due to increased business needs of our clients, D&Y has immediate exciting opportunities for multiple Recruiting Coordinators in Atlanta, Georgia!  Are you a sales superstar?  Do you have experience in phone sales, customer service, staffing, or marketing?  If so, we want you!


This position is responsible for sourcing and screening physicians by telephone and generating viable candidate leads for D&Y locum assignment opportunities to pass to Staffing Consultants on the assigned recruiting team.



  • Proactively call practicing physicians (Providers), hospitals, and residency and fellowship programs to identify potential candidates.

  • Work closely with Recruiters and Recruiting Managers in identifying physician candidate leads for current open job opportunities and/or future client needs.

  • Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and execute on tactical research, referral generation, events sourcing campaigns.

  • Find, engage and activate passive physician candidates through the use of Boolean searches and alternative search techniques using job boards, internet searches, social media, internal database, etc.

  • Screen physician resumes and interview candidates to determine interest in Locums Tenens assignments.

  • Regularly track pipeline activity to share with internal stakeholders.

  • Recommend and drive improvements that impact local pipeline areas.

  • Post client positions to job boards and social media using templates provided.

  • Screen responses and conduct follow-up phone calls to physicians that have responded to D&Y job postings. 

  • Maintain accurate information in company database.

  • Provide weekly report of activities and other reports as requested.

  • Perform other projects/tasks as assigned by the Recruiting Manager.

Physical and Environmental Demands

The physical and environmental demands for this position are as follows:

  • Job performed in a well-lit, modern office setting.
  • Occasional lifting/ carrying (15 pounds or less).
  • Occasional standing/ bending/ stooping/ reaching.
  • Low to moderate stress levels.
  • Prolonged use of the telephone.
  • Prolonged sitting.
  • Prolonged work on a PC/ Computer.
  • This position may require manual dexterity and/or frequent use of the computer, telephone, 10-key, calculator, office machines (copier, scanner, fax) and/or the ability to perform repetitive motions and/or meet production standards to comply with the essential functions. Also, may require physical and/or mental stamina to work overtime, additional hours beyond a regular schedule and/or more than five days per week.

Job Requirements


  • High school diploma or equivalent with one or more years of college desired.

  • Experience in making a high volume of outbound calls and documenting call results in a database system; one or more years of technical sourcing experience with a search firm or in-house recruiting team with an emphasis (core competency) within healthcare Locums Tenens positions. 

  • Must possess excellent and confident verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment performing multiple tasks.

  • Must be able to work independently without close supervision.

  • Must possess excellent computer skills (preferably Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, database, etc.).

  • Ability to handle confidential data.

  • Excellent research/sourcing skills with ability to dive deep into searches for hard-to-fill requirements.

  • Sound candidate engagement approach with ability to activate passive candidates.

  • Solid interview skills with ability to screen high volume of candidates by phone.

  • Possess experience in basic Boolean search operators with desired experience in effective use of Truncation, Wildcards, etc.

  • Ability to learn healthcare specialty information relating to recruitment of physician candidates for locum tenens assignments.

  • Professional interpersonal skills with ability to communicate effectively in writing.
