POSITION SUMMARY

The SQL Reporting Analyst is responsible for the development of internal and external reports based on the specific needs of the agency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Creates standard reports utilizing Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services and responds to ad-hoc report requests as needed.

Maintains knowledge and experience using relational databases and query tools.

Maintains knowledge and understanding to access external data sources when necessary.

Prepares and presents report findings in clear and concise manner.

Analyzes data trends and in collaboration with others, interprets data and develops recommendations based on findings.

Collaborates with various users across the agency and manages reporting requirements from start to finish.

Manages tasks and meets deadlines while responding to frequent ad-hoc requests from multiple sources.

Continues to develop knowledge and understanding about the history, traditions, values, family systems, and artistic expression of groups served as well as uses appropriate methodological approaches, skills, and techniques that reflect an understanding of culture.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma plus 4 years of progressively responsible experience or BA/BS in computer science, information sciences, or related field plus 2 years of progressively responsible experience in reporting or data analysis, including experience with Transact-SQL and Crystal Reports or SQL Reporting Services is required. Experience in data mining techniques and procedures and knowledge of appropriate use is also required. Prior experience in a behavioral health environment is a plus.

Demonstrates strong knowledge of SQL, reporting programs, and tools. Demonstrates excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and meet deadlines. Ability to think critically and develop conclusions based on data analysis.
