5 Axis CNC Programmer


SALARY:  up to $85K year

INDUSTRY:  Orthopedic Implants

Job Requirements


  • High School Diploma and Additional Technical Training.
  • 4 More Years Programming 5 Axis CNC Mills.
  • Knowledge of CAM software such as Unigraphics and/or Mastercam.
  • Experience Development Processes to Cut Stainless Steel, Titanium, Cobalt, Chrome or Exotic Alloys
  • Preferred Experience Working in Medical device, Aerospace or highly regulated Industries.


The development of new processes, CNC programs production methods, work holding solutions and tooling packages.


  • Experience generating 5 axis mill CNC programs.
  • Design or assist in the design of jigs, fixtures and cutting tools.
  • Process development and new product launches.
  • Maintain CNC programs, program library and DNC file systems.
  • Identify excessive cost, develop methods for cost reductions and implement cost reductions.
  • Assist quality engineers with the validation of new processes and products
  • Interact with design and manufacturing engineers.
  • Review prints, drawings and Gd&T
  • Create macro programs for families of components.
