NHS Human Services in McMurray, PA has an opening in our Stepping Stones program for an experienced Program Specialist - Part Time. In this role, you will be a critical and integral part of the Stepping Stones team working with each child in your service. Your interventions with the child must be guided by the treatment plan that has been developed by the Clinical Coordinator, child and family and by generally accepted standards of professional conduct. For this Part Time position hours are 4:00-7:00 pm and Saturday 9:00 am-4:00 pm.

Program Specialist – Part Time (Social Services / Social Work / Human Services / Nonprofit)

Job Responsibilities

As our Program Specialist with a background in social services, social work, nonprofit and/or human services, you will be implementing individualized treatment plans. You will be increasing children's competencies in target skills as written in the Stepping Stones Program Description (i.e. enhance strengths, teach generalizations skills, increase sensory tolerance, etc.)

Additional responsibilities include:
  • Performing daily documentation of each child's progress and problem area and maintaining accurate program books on each child assigned
  • Providing each child's family daily documentation of progress through daily performance checklists shared with the family after each day of their child's attendance
  • Engaging each assigned child through prescribed interventions in weekly and daily activity schedules
  • Performing monthly comprehensive summaries on each child assigned
  • Maintaining records noting progress and problem areas
  • Leading group through daily activity design and implementation for the program
