Job Description

Graphic Designer - Web Designer

This Graphic Designer /Web Designer position will work collaboratively with the Merchandising team to design compelling social and marketing assets for our brands within the parameters of each brand’s style guide.

Passion for designing innovative and creative user experiences and ability to recognize fresh approaches to site merchandising.

Works well in a highly collaborative environment supporting multiple cross functional teams to create a cohesive ecommerce experience. 

• Concept, design and production of marketing, including social, mobile, static and rich-media banners, unique landing pages, and enhanced product presentation. 
• Design/Illustrate assets for site ensuring quality across browsers and devices. Responsive design is required. 
• Communicate design concepts and strategies, verbally and visually, and engage in giving & receiving constructive feedback. 
• Understand and translate business goals and promotions into visually compelling layouts and online user experiences. 
• Design and develop strategies for major sale events. 
• Accommodate a variety of design sensibilities. 
• Provide production support as needed, resizing and optimizing assets for online presentation.

Job Requirements

Education and Experience required: 
• BA in Graphic Design, Art, or the equivalent combination of education and technical training. 
• Expertise and knowledge in the eCommerce space. Fluent in Photoshop, Adobe Creative suite, HTML, email, etc., including trends and technologies. 
• Online Portfolio demonstrating graphic design, layout and illustration skills. - Ask to view their Portfolio. 
• Experience as a design professional or equivalent experience in interactive marketing. 
• Works under general supervision; typically reports to a supervisor or manager. 

Knowledge and Skills: 
• Experience designing online marketing and advertising including animated gifs, targeted landing pages, site promotions and page layouts. A great deal of creativity and latitude is expected. 
• Extremely organized and efficient, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple projects at once, meeting tight deadlines. Proven track record of delivering results in a fast paced environment. 
• Experience of retail web marketing and/or e-commerce is a plus. 
• Experience designing online marketing and advertising including animated gifstargeted landing pages, site promotions and page layouts. 
• Must have a vast understanding of design principles, smart copy, HTML, technology and trends. 
• Design and develop weekly production volume of up to 20 promotional banners. 
• Excellent writing, presentation, editing and oral communications skills. 
• Must remain abreast of technological advances in the field and be able to identify areas of use in the organization
