Job Description: 

We are currently looking for customer-focused Salesforce administrators to be a part of our growing Salesforce team.


Salesforce Administrators participate in the design, configuration, enhancement and maintenance for university applications. Must be able to interface directly with customers, staff, IT colleagues, and other stakeholders to identify user requirements, assess available technologies, and recommend solution options. Assess design and objectives for the assigned project phases and recommends strategies and tactics to achieve business needs.


Essential Duties: 

•Perform hands-on solution design, prototyping, proof-of-concepts, as required in support of current and new projects.

•Conduct Solution reviews with functional teams prior to design and development activities and ensure solution is scalable, is aligned with internal product roadmaps and meets customer's' business requirements.

•Work on all phases of a project: requirements capture, development, testing, production support, etc.

•Be able to estimate scope for development efforts.

•Communicate with stakeholders and end users to provide support.

•Knowledgeable of Salesforce objects including user, account, lead, case, knowledge, chatter, opportunities and campaign.

•Knowledgeable of Salesforce security model including profiles, roles, permission sets and workflows.

•Develop and create customized reports and dashboards.

•Design, create and maintain user roles, profiles and hierarchies.

•Create and maintaining documentation in Confluence on processes, policies, application configuration and related materials.

•Keep abreast of new Salesforce features and functionality and proving recommendations for process improvements

•Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, and adapt to new features and technology.

Job Requirements

Minimum Qualifications: 

Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology or related field AND two (2) years experience providing information technology services; OR, Six (6) years experience providing information technology services; OR, Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Certificates from recognized programs that indicate mastery of tools and techniques relevant to the assignment may substitute for up to six months experience.


Desired Qualifications: 

•Demonstrated Salesforce administration experience.

•Experience in hands on design, prototyping, development, configurations, testing and other implementation activities.

•Experience in technical background, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

•Experience in delivering the full software development life cycle with the platform.

•Demonstrated knowledge about applications of Flows, APEX and Visualforce.

•Evidence of a proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects.

•Experience in troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve difficult problems quickly.

•Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies.

•Experience in effectively communicating technical concepts to other technical staff members as well as non-technical members of the organization

•Demonstrated knowledge with Agile Project Management is a plus

•Evidence of a Certification


Working Environment: 

Use PC, sit or stand for extended periods of time, walk moderate distances to perform work, use hand/fingers for repetitive motion (keyboarding/typing), communicate both orally and in writing, and read/interpret written and oral instructions/directions.  May require lifting of items weighing up to 40 lbs.
