Job Description

A full time Regional Franchise Director/Manager (depending upon experience) position is available in Westminster, Colorado.  Reporting to the Vice President of Blackjack Pizza, the Regional Franchise Director/Manager is the primary point of contact between Blackjack Pizza and its franchisees.  This position requires restaurant experience (QSR) in and knowledge of restaurant management practices, successful operating tools, implementing growth, and profitability goals. The Regional Franchise Director/Manager must be willing and able to build and maintain relationships with franchisees in order to expand the commitment of the franchisees to the brand, compliance, and overall growth.


Essential Functions Include:


  • Responsible for developing business relationships, getting buy-in with all franchisees and creating an atmosphere of teamwork and collaboration for achieving clear targets, goals, and business plans
  • Conduct annual business reviews with franchisees to establish goals around growth, profitability, and succession plans 
  • Communicate franchisor initiatives to franchisees to gain support, ensure understanding,  promote compliance, and focus efforts on success
  • Use data and financial information to assist franchisees in gaining insights into business performance and profitability
  • Maintain consistently high level of knowledge and expertise in QSR pizza industry and all brand standards
  • Support franchisees in growing sales and market share through initiatives that are consistent with brand standards and overall brand marketing strategy
  • Regularly visit franchise locations and perform inspection reports to ensure franchisee compliance with all brand standards, policies and practices, customer service experience, and product quality requirements
  • Analyze franchisee performance and provide advice to identify areas for operational efficiencies, increasing sales and profitability
  • Make recommendations for business and operational improvement and assist franchisees and their management teams in implementing new processes to achieve goals
  • Ensure that the Blackjack Brand is protected and well represented by franchisees in all respects
  • Plan and participate in franchise meetings and franchise advisory council meetings as necessary

Job Requirements



  • Strong business acumen and experience working with, presenting to, and advising senior business leaders on operational matters

  • An analytical approach to problem solving and experience managing complex matters

  • Strong critical thinking, organization, communication, self-management, and technology skills

  • Ability to build relationships and develop trust with key stakeholders, including management team, staff, business partners, and others

  • Expert written and verbal communication skills

  • Highly resourceful team player who can also excel while working independently

  • Proven ability to manage confidential information with discretion, successfully balance competing demands, and execute the highest level of customer service

  • Proven ability to achieve goals, meet competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and deliver consistently superior performance

  • Forward thinker who actively seeks challenging opportunities and proposes and implements effective solutions


Experience and Credentials:


  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or related field
  • A minimum of five years experience in restaurant management (QSR)
  • Multi-store restaurant management experience a plus
  • Experience in franchise growth and succession planning
  • Solid understanding of QSR operational execution
  • Ability to resolve issues and gain commitment
  • High comfort level interacting with franchisees and restaurant management team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)
