Job Description

Client on Long Island is looking for a very strong RPG programmer to work with their AS/400 I Series Power System.


  • US Citizen or Green Card 
  • Willing to relocate
  • Location: Ronkonkoma, NY

Responsibilities include:
-Analyzes, designs, develops and maintains iSeries applications software utilizing RPG, RPG ILE, * RPG-FREE, and SQL languages.
  • -Write programs based on system specifications
-Code new RPG programs and modify or enhance existing RPG programs.
-Troubleshoot and debug existing code and system to identify and resolve issues.
-Tests code and fixes to ensure quality.
-Perform maintenance on existing programs and makes enhancements to applications based on user requirements
-Implements newly created code and fixes into existing software.

Job Requirements


Desired Skills and Experience:
-IBM iSeries AS400 experience
-RPG IV, RPG Free, ILE
-Use of embedded SQL
-Support of Manufacturing systems and software is strongly desired.
-Lansa experience would be a plus
-Project Management experience a plus+
