Job Description

A reputable and dynamic real estate investment company is looking for a Vice President of Human Resources to join their team! This person will independently manage the HR department and will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions for the company.

Responsibilities of the Vice President of Human Resources:

  • Act as the Plan Administrator for the company's employee benefits
  • Oversee annual benefits renewal process
  • Process all employee change paperwork
  • Review and approve invoices to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure company compliance with all applicable regulations
  • Recommend process improvements and new approaches to ensure continual progress and efficiency of departments and services provided
  • Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws pertaining to all HR matters
  • Manage all payroll processes using ADP Run and Paychex Online
  • Respond to employee relations issues
  • Write and update job descriptions for all positions and maintain company organizational chart
  • Manage all recruiting efforts including outside recruiters, interviewing, selections, background checks and new hire orientation
  • Develop training and developmental programs with other senior management
  • Represent the company for any unemployment claims
  • Oversee safety and administer workers' compensation program
  • Develop HR department goals, objectives and annual budget
  • Various other tasks as needed

Job Requirements

Requirements of the Vice President of Human Resources:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business and/or Human Resources Management
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in HR
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ADP Run and Paychex Online a plus
  • Superior communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to resolve conflict
  • Self-starter with high initiative
  • Strong multitasker with the ability to prioritize
  • Team player with the ability to work autonomously
