Overview:

Summary

 

The primary role of the Account Manager is to achieve the revenue and market share goals established by Oticon throughout his/her territory. The Territory for this opening is Northern California. The Account Manager will accomplish these goals through the identification, development, maintenance and retention of organic customers. The Account Manager is responsible for promoting the goals and mission of Oticon through effective and professional representation.

Nature and Scope

 

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Achieve the unit, market share and ASP goals for all product lines in the assigned territory.
  • Develop, maintain and implement a yearly plan to achieve the goals of the territory.
  • Coordinate training and marketing activities for target customers.
  • Participate in national and regional sales meetings to influence continual improvement in the Oticon sales team.
  • Demonstrate an ability to communicate and perform all steps in the selling process.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the audiological principles and patient fitting applications of all Oticon products.
  • Demonstrate an ability to effectively communicate product information to customers in a convincing manner that will result in increased purchases.
  • Organize the territory, plan cost-effective routing and prioritize multiple tasks independently with supervision from the Regional Manager.
  • Meet or exceed visit goals set in the yearly plan.
  • Attend conventions as an exhibitor or participant as necessary to meet sales objectives.
  • Travel extensively to visit customers face-to-face. Up to 80% overnight travel is expected with the minimum travel nights to be determined with the Regional Manager.
  • Maintain the CRM data-base to provide the required feedback on customer activity

Education And/Or Experience

 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • A licensed Audiologist with experience selling/fitting hearing aids or Oticon products is highly preferred.
  • Extensive experience proving hearing care services to clients will also be considered.
  • Sales experience for another hearing care supplier will also be considered. Specific knowledge and experience selling Oticon products is preferred.
  • Travel extensively to visit customers face-to-face. Up to 80% overnight travel is expected with the minimum travel nights to be determined with the Regional Manager.
