Job Description

Cash Applications Specialist

World-renowned company is looking for an experience Cash Applications Specialist to assist their Accounts Receivable department with general cash applications duties using SAP. Company offers competitive pay, great benefits, and a fun work environment.

Responsibilities of the Cash Application Specialist:

  • General/daily cash applications

  • Apply cash to customer accounts and post cash receipts

  • Calling customers to get backup of what unidentified payment should clear.

  • Clearing invoices with payments

  • Handle remittances submitted via email.

  • Check request/refunds to customers, suppliers, and vendors

  • Create basic excel spreadsheets to send with refunds

  • Process wire, check, and credit card payments

  • Research disputed invoices

  • Resolve credit and cash application issues

  • Create and update reports as needed and share with necessary parties

  • Provide assistance as needed within AR department

Job Requirements

Requirements of the Cash Applications Specialist:

  • Prior experience using SAP software is mandatory (3 years preferred, 1 year required)

  • Solid understanding of AR and cash applications practices

  • Strong data entry and analytical skills

  • Must be well organized and detail-oriented.

  • Degree in accounting or related field preferred
