JOB DESCRIPTION:                              


The Senior HR Generalist helps management align business objectives with employees and the activities of management in the designated business units. The position serves as a partnering consultant to HR and management on human resource related issues of all types, including but not limited to: recruiting, training and development, performance management, employee relations, benefits, and compensation. The incumbent must have a solid skill set across all areas of human resources and be driven toward obtaining positive impact and results. An incumbent of this position must be comfortable identifying potential issues and solving them prior to them becoming issues. The position supports high performance human capital management by communicating needs proactively within our Auditor’s Office HR department and business units, and then developing integrated solutions. Integrated solutions may involve: training, recruiting, developing, mentoring, onboarding, researching or any supportive discipline from the human resources functional roles. The Senior HR Generalist formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the values, vision, and business objectives of the organization.

Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, and at least five years of professional experience as a human resources practitioner or business partner to business units including employees and leaders.  


Ideal candidate must also possess:

  • SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation. SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM – SCP) strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated expertise in the implementation of best practices and process improvement.

  • Experience in Compensation & Benefits, Training & Development, Employee Relations and Recruitment & Selection.

  • The ability to plan and organize work, perform under pressure, and meet deadlines.    

  • Above average problem-solving, critical thinking and analytical skills.

  • The ability to analyze complex information and develop recommendations to address issues. 

  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work with people in a business environment.

  • Fluency in the written and oral use of the English language.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.



Must be legally eligible to work in the United States. We do not provide visa sponsorship.

Physical requirements for the position are the ability to walk, crouch, bend and stand for extended periods of time, the ability lift and carry up to 20 lbs., and push/pull 50 lbs.
