We are in search of a Manufacturing Process Engineer for one of Rochester's top leading manufacturing companies.

We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a well-established and growing manufacturing company in the Rochester area.

Manufacturing Process Engineer will lead, develop and optimize new and lean manufacturing initiatives, develop new processes and provide overall improvement to the manufacturing production and work flow.

Manufacturing Process Engineer will troubleshoot current processes, make process improvements by designing new layouts and floor plans for optimum efficiencies and to improve product output and deliverables.

Make recommendations using lean manufacturing methodologies to improve costs, improve overall quality standards, eliminate scrape, reduce failure rates, and improve equipment efficiencies.  

Working in concert with engineers, quality, maintenance and production manager to improve quality and implement cost savings in all depts.

Manufacturing Process Engineer will interface with all levels to include engineering and design, production managers to ensure lean manufacturing and ISO standards are being met. Any experience with Lean manufacturing processes, 5s, six sigma, and kaizen is desired.

Responsibilities will include overseeing manufacturing projects, design and troubleshoot tooling and fixtures (molds a plus), 3D CAD, analyze statistical data, plan schedule and execute production workflow.    

Manufacturing Process Engineer must have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, ability to interface with all levels of organization and make presentations to upper management.  

Lean manufacturing knowledge is a must and certification is highly desired.

Good project management and documentation skills, with SPC knowledge helpful.

Ability to design tooling, fixtures and mechanical devises and components as it relates to manufacturing process.

Must have previous experience in developing cost reduction initiatives

Excellent problem solving abilities, mechanical aptitude with ability to prioritize and make sound business decisions.  

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, ability to manage multiple projects, production workflows, and assist Production Supervisors with all related production staff needs.

Good computer skills to include, word, excel, outlook, any design package helpful, AutoCAD, Solidworks etc. is a plus.

Must be highly organized and focused with keen eye for detail.   

Any Precision Machining, Plastic Injection Molding, High speed production/packaging, Assembly, Optics or Electronics experience is preferred. Any regulated/compliance driven environment is highly desired. 

Must have BS degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, with 4 plus years’ experience as noted in the above job description.
