Job Description

 Job duration from mid-May possibly through mid-September.

Performs routine secretarial duties of a legal nature for one or more staff attorneys ? i.e. prepares/edits standard legal documents, briefs, motions, summons, etc. Handles routine inquiries; manages attorney?s calendar, schedules appointments, coordinates depositions and appearances; establishes, maintains and when necessary, revises attorney?s files. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to edit and proof legal documents. Requires close supervision.

Job Requirements

Legal Secretary with a minimum of 1 year experience with Oregon and Washington insurance defense litigation.

Familiarity with Oregon and Washington state court rules and procedures. Familiarity with e-filing in Oregon courts a plus. Associates Degree in secretarial science or related field or equivalent training, plus a minimum of 1 year of secretarial experience.
