Registered Nurse Supervisor

University Nursing and Rehab, a skilled nursing facility located in Evansville, Indiana, is seeking a 2nd shift Registered Nurse Supervisor that has a passion for providing the highest quality of care with compassion and integrity!


The RN Nurse Supervisor is responsible for direct and supervisory resident care on the nursing unit assigned. Ensures that the facility policies and procedures regarding the nursing department are upheld.

 

 Essentials Duties of the Registered  Nurse Supervisor includes but are not limited to:

 

  • Act as onsite manager for all personnel on duty in the absence of the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing, as assigned by the Director of Nursing/Assistant Director of Nursing

  • Supervises the floor nurses and assists when needed

  • Supervises direct resident care given by Certified Nursing Assistant/Certified Medication Technician

  • Supervises direct care staff for completion of shift and nightly cleaning duties

  • Maintains accurate, detailed reports and records

  • Monitors, records and reports symptoms and changes in patients’ conditions


Job Requirements


Registered Nurse Supervisor


       
  • Must have and maintain a current, valid RN state license and CPR certification

  • Must be able to read, write and follow written and verbal instructions in English

  • Must be able to make independent decisions when warranted

  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing and medical practices and procedures, as well as laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to long-term care

  • Strong clinical skills

  • Must possess leadership and supervisory ability and the willingness to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel

  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, etc. that are necessary for providing quality care

  • Minimum 2 years long-term care experience preferred
