Job Description

Responsible for handling exception requests for interest rate and fees. Provides daily support to and backs-up the Mgr Secondary Market Sales position, and plays a key role in loan sales, interest rate setting and distribution, and loan sale commitment management. Other key job components include various reporting, tracking, reconciliation, and profitability measures.

Makes decisions/works with management on interest rate and fee exception requests. Approves and coordinates extension requests internally and with investors.

Calculates and distributes daily interest rates in an accurate and timely manner.

Daily preparation and reconciliation of the position report.

Sells loans to secondary market investors as directed by management. Creates, tracks and maintains investor commitments on system. Prepares daily trade summary for management review.

Monitors and maintains loan sales and investor commitments through the selection and substitution of appropriate loan files to ensure investor commitment requirements and due dates are met. Monitors changes on existing commitments and determines financial implications of changes.

Monitors loan delivery dates and coordinates with appropriate party to ensure requirements are met. Participates in the resolution of outstanding loan purchase issues which often involve research and investigation.

Conducts rate surveys, and other surveys of competition.

Compiles, prepares, and calculates Mark-to-Market for review and approval by management. Executes various daily, weekly, and month-end reporting. Special projects as required.

Job Requirements

College degree or equivalent work experience required.
1-3 years relevant experience.

Strong PC skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, internet and internal and industry standard software.

Strong written and verbal skills are needed to convey information in a clear and concise manner.

Ability to negotiate effectively with investors.

Strong analytical skills are needed to monitor loans and research problems. Strong attention to detail.

Broad knowledge of secondary market concepts and practices. Ability to develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of investor requirements.

Ability to work independently and use own discretion when faced with decision making.
