Social Media Strategist

Job Description:

We're looking for someone with outstanding analytical skills, particularly on consumer package goods brands. The ideal candidate will be an impeccable communicator, with a proven track-record in an agency environment for at least 5 - 7 years.

Responsibilities:
  • Key Social Strategy Lead across a portfolio of major national grocery brands.
  • Create strategic decks baked in research/observations to determine insights that have actionable items/key takeaways for both the brand and agency teams.
  • Areas of focus would include:
  • Audience Insights.
  • Brand Content Direction.
  • Influence Approaches.
  • User Generated Content Approaches.
  • Hashtag strategies.
  • Surprise and Delight strategies.
  • New trends/areas of opportunity.
  • Proactively bring new ideas/approaches to the team.
  • Complete Oversight of the Community Management team.
  • Ensuring that all messages are being responded to in a timely fashion and with appropriate information.
  • Ensuring all messages are being responded to within the brand voice/tonality.
  • Analytics.
  • Oversight of Daily Community Manager Analytics Reports.
  • Develop weekly reports with insights, actionable item's and key takeaways.
  • Participation in the Inter-Agency Process.
  • Providing strategic social direction in line with the overall brand vision/positioning.
  • Provide insights to the Inter-Agency team to help guide the direction of the brand from a social perspective.

Qualifications:
  • 5 to 7 years of social media marketing experience required.
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills and the ability to build sound decks.
  • A strong working knowledge of Social Media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+, Tumblr) and industry trends.
  • Understanding of email marketing, website, and promotion best practices.
  • Experience in managing digital projects to successful completion.
  • Strategy, Research, Strategic Planning, Advertising, Analysis, Brand Development, Market Research, Online Advertising, Customer Insight, Strategic Communications, Consumer Behavior, Positioning.
