Job Description

This is a senior level Contracts Administration position with a military electronics company based in Suffolk County. You will be responsible for specific major customer accounts, and manage contracts including analysis, modifications, and negotiation of terms/conditions, and pricing.

Prepare and obtain company approvals for non-standard product quotations and major proposals to customers. Review and negotiate documents and agreements to ensure adherence to company policies, government specifications, and conformance to master agreements. Works on non-disclosure, license, and pricing agreements, as well as certifications and representations to customers.

Ensures company compliance with US government requirements including FAR and DAR. Provide guidance on export control matters, including proper licensing for company products. Draft export license application to the US Department of State and US Department of Commerce.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or other law-related degree plus at least five years’ experience working in military electronics and defense manufacturing. Should have experience like that described above, including the administration and management of assigned contracts. Should have a thorough understanding of US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administrations Regulations (EAR). Must be eligible to become an Empowered Official as defined within ITAR. Must be a US person as defined within ITAR.
