Job Description

Regent Systems, Inc. (RSI) is currently bidding on a project and is seeking applicants for Web Developer Support for AF Radiation Dosimetry for OE within the Human Performance Wing Support System (HPWS). Work with be at Wright Patterson AFB. Work schedule is normally M-F day shift; however, there may be times when it is necessary to work after duty hours in support of specific tasks. Although schedule may have to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week.


Basic Responsibilities

  • Design, create, deploy, and maintain capabilities for OE within the Human Performance Wing Support System (HPWS).

  • Support of capabilities within existing modules in addition to providing new capabilities and new modules.

  • Customer service and support for LIMS web applications, data, and reporting will be accomplished as a recurring need.  This includes the following:

    • Ensure 90% of projects are completed IAW an internal development schedule unless approved otherwise by the OMCI Branch Chief or higher authority.

    • Ability to understand complex mathematical formulas and be able to translate them into application code and database queries.

    • Protect and manage data that may be categorized as Controlled Unclassified Information, sensitive, Personally Identifiable Information and/or Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act related. Specifically, the contractor shall ensure all sensitive data is appropriately segregated and controlled by applicable discretionary access controls.

    • Ensure all development projects comply with AF and local organizational software design and coding standards.

    • Provide ad hoc reporting as needed based upon customer requirements.

    • Perform assigned portions of system analysis, design, programming, and documentation for OEA Radiation Dosimetry applications using AF approved software design and development tools.

    • Produce technical documentation for OEA Radiation Dosimetry web applications using AF and local organizational standards and templates.

    • Work seamlessly within the architecture of the 711 HPW’s enterprise system (HPWS) and existing applications and conform to design standards of the HPWS.

    • Participate in periodic code reviews, both as a recipient and as a peer evaluator to ensure consistency in design, code development and documentation.

  • Documentation, design, development, testing, deployment, and support of OEA Radiation Dosimetry web application capabilities based upon user requirements.

  • Performance of In-depth system analysis of customer processes in order to accurately translate them into the best software solution.

  • Interaction with customers to obtain technical requirements and verify developed solutions meet needs initially and over time.

  • Production of technical documentation based upon user specifications. This includes or are similar to Functional Requirements Documents, System Design Documents, use cases, system topologies, Test plans, Deployment Plans, and training guides.

  • Development of new OEA Radiation Dosimetry capabilities and enhancement of existing LIMS capabilities based upon information provided in requirements documentation and design specifications.

  • Interaction with and processing of complex data sets within Oracle relational database. This includes reading, designing, writing, and modifying complex SQL queries, procedures, and functions.

  • Adherence to AF and local design and coding standards.

  • Provide training and assistance with new and existing capabilities. This includes producing technical documentation as well as conducting in-person training.

  • Support of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification & Accreditation process through all phases of the system’s life cycle

  • Development in ColdFusion, PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, .NET.

  • Development using Toad, SQL Developer, SQL Server Management Studio, ColdFusion Builder, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, and other AF approved development tools.

  • Provide prompt, professional, customer-friendly support for the 711 HPW in person, via email or on the phone.

Job Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • Demonstrate skill and competence with Web application and database technologies utilized by OEA Radiation Dosimetry applications. These include, or are similar to Adobe ColdFusion 11, Oracle 11g PL/SQL, Microsoft SQL Server 2014, Microsoft Transact-SQL, HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, jQuery 1.7.2 and above.

  • Demonstrate skill and competence with developmental tools such as ColdFusion, PL/SQL, Transact-SQL, JavaScript, jQuery, .NET, Toad, SQL Developer, SQL Server Management Studio, ColdFusion Builder, Dreamweaver, Visual Studio, and other AF approved development tools.


Education and Certification

  • DoD-approved Information Assurance workforce certifications

  • Operating system certification for IA Tech Level II positions (including applicable updates/changes).

  • Must have ONE of the following:

    • B.S. in Computer Science and 2 years relevant work experience

    • Any Bachelor’s Degree and 4 years relevant work experience

    • Any post-secondary education and 5 years relevant work experience

  • Minimum SECRET Clearance

Ability to acquire an Administrative account on an AF network.
