  ENTRY LEVEL  - GET INTO THE FIELD OF SPECIAL EDUCATION - PAID TRAINING


Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) is looking to hire Teachers Assistants to work in our Children's Day Programs located in Smithtown, LI. and Huntington, LI.

Convenient hours -   Monday thru Friday, 8:00 am to 3:00 pm or 8:30 am to 3:30 pm.
 Full time and per diem positions available.  


HS Diploma/Equivalent is required. Some positions require 18 college credits and experience working with young children.

Our school programs operate on a twelve month calendar but include nine weeks of scheduled vacation during the year.


This is a great opportunity to get valuable experience and knowledge working in a classroom setting and using ABA.

 

 

Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) was founded in 1961, to address the special needs of children with Autism and other developmental disabilities, and provide therapeutic intervention.  Today, DDI is a non-profit, multi-site agency serving over 1,500 children and adults with Autism and related disorders, providing educational, residential, day habilitation and vocational services.

Job Requirements

HS Diploma or Equivalent required. 18 College credits preferred. Some experience working with children is preferred.
