Job Description

Branch Operations Manager
with
Meadows Bank
Phoenix, AZ
 M-F  8:00 am–5:00 pm

Position Summary:  Responsible for managing the daily operations of the branch office under the supervision of the Branch Manager and within the guidance and directives of branch administration; prepares and completes daily, weekly, and monthly operations-based reports and certifications while directing and monitoring the activities of the branch staff; supports Branch Manager in the growth and development of client relationships.  Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Manage the daily activities of the branch to ensure compliance with established Bank policy and procedures.
  2. Maintain a professional business-like atmosphere within the branch office to achieve the desired levels of quality customer service.
  3. Provide personnel management for branch operational staff to include performance evaluations, performance counseling and training and development.
  4. Support Branch Manager to achieve goals and objectives for the growth and development of the branch.
  5. Supervise the preparation, distribution and completion of daily, weekly and monthly reports to include branch certifications for Branch Manager review.
  6. Perform the duties and responsibilities required in the branch in the absence of the Branch Manager.
  7. Special projects and all other duties as trained and assigned.

Working Skills: Exhibit a thorough knowledge of all functions related to branch operations to include teller, new accounts, operational certifications, compliance, internal control and security.  Must have a strong understanding of Bank policies and procedures, and audit responsibilities.

Language Skills:  Requires the ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, correspondence and memos. Exhibit the ability to write basic correspondence.

Mathematical Skills: Must possess the ability to apply mathematical concepts, add, subtract, multiply and divide. Demonstrate the capacity for completing tasks requiring a high level of attention to detail and able to meet balancing standards.


Reasoning Ability: Apply common sense to carry out detailed but uninvolved written and verbal instructions. Possess the ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Able to understand and follow established Bank policies and procedures to ensure regulatory compliance and adequately supervise others in the compliance process.



Interpersonal Skills: Possess superior interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with supervisors and co-workers and demonstrated aptitude toward supervision and management of others.  Demonstrate a high degree of customer service and sales skills to include the use of tact and diplomacy in daily interaction with internal and external customers.

Computer Skills: Working knowledge of personal computers and bank operating systems to include new account and informational support programs e.g. Jack Henry, Microsoft Outlook, and Internet.

Education/Experience:  Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.   Minimum five (5) years of supervisory experience in branch operations;  Minimum five (5) years branch operations experience.
