The Coffee Shop Assistant is responsible for the preparation, set-up and service of food in the Coffee Shop. The Coffee Shop Assistant interacts directly with residents, staff, visitors and guests in a courteous and cooperative manner to ensure a pleasant dining experience. The Coffee Shop Assistant ensures the attractiveness and safety of all food that is set-up ordered and served; accurately handles payment transactions at the register and point of sale system; and performs side service jobs and related housekeeping duties to ensure a clean, safe and orderly environment. The Coffee Shop Assistant performs work in compliance with all regulatory agency equirements and company procedures. The Coffee Shop Assistant opens and closes the Coffee Shop for service according to meal schedules.
This is a PT position and you will be schedule to work approximately 22.5 hours a week. Your scheduled shift will primarily be between 9am-2:30pm, with some early or later shifts if needed. You will be on a weekend and holiday rotation.

HS Diploma or a GED
Must be able to pass a drug test and background check
Six months to 1 year food service experience, preferably in a cafeteria or retail setting
Must possess experience in food preparation and using related food preparation equipment
