Job Description

This position is responsible for the leadership and management of a large segment of the organization’s internal operations activities. In addition, this position oversees functional activities in support of the company’s strategic direction.

Principal Responsibilities:
Acts as a key participant in the formation of the division’s long term strategic business and systems plan. Develops, recommends and implements business plans, operations policies, procedures and systems utilization in support of the organization’s goals and objectives.

Oversees a large segment of the organization’s operations activities including business support services and compliance with policies, procedures and applicable laws and regulations.

Oversee payments and international operations areas for the bank. Manage FX, Wire Transfer, ACH and Trade Finance Operations. Manage the roadmap for these areas.

Manage the vendor relationships for the Bank’s Wire Transfer, ACH, SWIFT, FX and Trade Finance Systems.

Provides leadership and guidance to business units and staff to identify and resolve operations issues, increase productivity and operational efficiency while reducing expenses, and to enhance and create revenue streams through expanded use of technology and vendor and customer relationships. Leads or participates in technology and non-technology project initiatives within and across divisions.

Ensures that subordinate managers and their staffs are provided with the tools and training required to consistently deliver quality service to internal and external customers. Creates and oversees implementation and maintenance of employee recognition programs for achievement of technical and service excellence.

Facilitate cross-functional teams to build consensus and support for positive change and shared goals.

Develops and maintains relationships with industry peers, groups and organizations to keep abreast of regulatory, business and technology changes and industry trends to ensure compliance and timely implementation of new and best practices and technology.

Oversees the planning, development, implementation and management of operating and capital budgets, including vendor and contract management, as well as oversees disaster recovery efforts for areas of responsibility within the division.

Ensures that opportunities are afforded to staff to develop and maintain their skills at the highest standards. Fosters, through mentoring and leadership, critical and independent thinking skills and behaviors in staff. Ensures that staff is developed and utilized as a resource pool for other areas of the organization. Exercises full authority of a manager concerning hiring, performance management, reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations.

Adheres to compliance procedures and internal/operational risk controls in accordance with any and all applicable regulatory standards, requirements, and policies.

Job Requirements

Education/Experience Requirements:
Advanced degree or equivalent experience.
7-10 years relevant experience.
