Job Description

Local Bank in McHenry, IL is looking to hire a new Branch Manager / Lender. This is an exceptional direct hire opportunity for experienced banking professionals. Great benefits!

Job Summary: The branch manager administers operation of a branch office with checking, savings, certificates of deposits and loans. The branch manager represents the bank to the community-at-large through excellent customer relations and outreach activities. Call on existing customers and develops new banking relationships with commercial and small business in the community. Works with other branch managers to meet established lending goals and provide maximum profitability to the bank at minimum risk.

Bank Branch Manager / Lender Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Executes a calling program to existing customers, local non-customer businesses and to build relationships with Center of Influences.
  • Takes loan applications, conducts underwriting including a complete financial analysis, and makes approval recommendations.
  • Ensures that appropriate bank and regulatory policies and procedures are followed during the loan process, and that exceptions are followed up and cleared within appropriate timelines.
  • Direct completion of all loan documents and closes loans.
  • Collects past due accounts.
  • Supervises branch staff to ensure the office is running efficiently and effectively.
  • Ensures all staff have documented goals and receive annual reviews.
  • Provides ongoing coaching.
  • Implements a business development strategy that includes proactive outbound calling efforts that result in increased balance sheet growth.


Compensation:
$45,000 - $60,000

Job Requirements

Bank Branch Manager / Lender Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher and Access
  • At least 2 years of sales calling experience preferred
  • Consumer lending experience
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Previous project management experience
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
  •  Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Great business acumen
