Job Description

Systems Technology Group (STG) has immediate opening for Manufacturing Project Manager for our direct automotive client in Warren, MI. The duration is long-term (8+ months). Some Travel in SE Michigan. Manufacturing Engineering Environment; Office, Plant And Work Areas Vary.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide / Facilitate / Maintain Machinery & Equipment End to End Process projects and plans
  • Develop, define, and document business, performance, and process requirements utilizing multiple organization subject matter expert teams
  • Communicate project direction, issues, and status to stakeholders and other customers
  • Develop appropriate audience facing communications in various mediums (i.e., Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing, Finance, Purchasing (GPSC), Global Business Services (GBS), Information Technology (IT), stakeholders and customers of the Machinery & Equipment End to End Process)
  • Establish Project Priorities across multiple functions coordinate multiple functions schedule, priorities and resources to complete process within required timeline use available analytical tools to meet project requirements. 
  • Develop complex program Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Establishes organization-wide project management strategies
  • Conducts complex program and project management assessments
  • Exhibits strong leadership skills and leads project teams
  • Manages the integration of project management within an organization resulting in culture change
  • Develops project management training classes and programs
  • Identifies new business opportunities

Job Requirements

Required Skills/Experience:

  • MS Project Training
  • Team Player with high level of oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work closely with multiple business teams collecting and analyzing business/data requirements
  • High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others, as well as cross-functionally and cross-culturally 
  • High degree of computer skills that include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Strong effective communicator
  • Proficient written and oral communication skills
  • Knowledgeable of Cost-Integrated scheduling and can perform Earned Value Analysis
  • Identifies and recommends project management tools
  • Identifies risk, provides analysis and contingency planning
  • Minimal of 7 years Project Management experience
  • Minimal of 5 years Business/Industry Knowledge
  • Minimal of 3 years experience Program Management System Applications
  • Minimal of 3 years experience in network analysis 

Required Education/Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or seven years equivalent work experience
  • PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
