We are searching for an experienced professional engineer with strong transportation design, leadership, and business development experience. This is an exciting opportunity for an engineer with an entrepreneurial drive to expand this firm’s market presence and client base in the LA area, as well as to shape this firm’s growth in engineering design. This Principal Engineer will manage, develop, and put into action strategic plans; establish contacts and form strong relationships with existing and prospective clients; and will make critical leadership decisions that impact the company as a whole.



Position Focus

  • Collaborate with the CEO and management team to form, implement and review strategic plans and performance goals for the transportation market area.
  • Work together with the Business Development Director and management team to maintain existing client’s relationships and build new client relationships.
  • Apply your creative energy, vision and strong decision-making abilities that impact the firm and anticipate any issues.
  • Use leadership experience to oversee transportation projects and define program goals and needs.
  • Provide oversite of the technical, financial and legal aspects of the entire program.

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • 15 years of transportation engineering experience
  • BS in Civil Engineering
  • CA Professional Engineering (PE); additional TE strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience on large-scale State, highway, rail, and comparative transportation projects
  • Will have existing contacts and client relationships within the Greater LA area
