Information Technology Assistant

Position:

This position will report to our Director of Information Technology.

Schedule/Hours:

PART TIME, 24 HOURS PER WEEK. DAY SHIFT

Essential Job Functions:

- Work with Director of IT and service partner, ISG to provide software, hardware and network support, training, and troubleshooting in a networked healthcare environment and provide assistance to all staff.

- Help provide technical support for CISCO telephone system, cell phones, resident cable television services through Cox Communications.

- Connect users to networks, install hardware and peripheral components such as monitors, keyboards, and printers on premises and provide initial training for these systems.

- Work with Director to maintain a log of all Aldersgate Village computer equipment and dispose of old equipment according to HIPAA guidelines and maintain records of disposal.

- Load appropriate software packages such as operating systems, networking components and office applications to users machines.  Maintain and update software as needed.

- Assist residents of Aldersgate Village with their personal technology needs.

- Other duties assigned.

Job Requirements

Job Requirements:

- 1 year of experience in a computer related discipline. 

- Knowledge of installations, configuration and troubleshooting processes of software, hardware, networking and accessory equipment.

- Ability to keep resident information confidential.

- Ability to work independently and to prioritize tasks based on the needs of the organization.

- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and communicate professionally with co-workers, residents, residents' families, and the public.
