Job Description

CDL Driver - Part-Time

North Central Utility is a growing multi-location 40 year old company. We are a leading distributor of semi-trailers, and offer full parts and service departments with locations in WI, MN, and ND.   Our Fargo, North Dakota Store is actively recruiting for a part-time CDL Truck Driver!

As a part-time CDL Truck Driver, you will support driving needs and assignments at our Fargo, ND Store, performed in accordance with D.O.T. requirements and industry standards.

Primary Functions: Responsible for the delivery/pick-up of inventory trailers primarily in North Dakota, as well as support for our service department trailer movement needs.  Perform driving assignments maintaining established company and industry standards.

Hours of Work:  20-30 hours per week scheduled within a 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM work schedule (subject to change as schedule dictates).

Specific Functions:

  • Under the direction of the Sales Operations Manager, responsible for all aspects of truck driving services for managers, staff and customers. 
  • Ensure outstanding truck driving services safely, consistently and on-schedule.      
  • Ensure regular truck maintenance for optimum driving performance and safety.
  • Keep trucks neat, clean and organized..
  • Work effectively as a team member. 

Job Requirements

 CDL Driver P.T.

  • High School Degree is preferred. 
  • CDL is required.
  • Valid State Driver’s License with a clean driving record is required
  • Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required
  • Forklift certification  (e.g. Employer provides certification on-the-job)


  • Prior CDL driving experience is required.
  • Use of forklift equipment required.


  • Single-axle day cab.
  • Company cell phone and GPS..


Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of  75 pounds intermittently; a minimum of 10-60 pounds consistently. 
  • Frequent sitting and driving required.
  • Use of forklift equipment required.
  • Ability to read, communicate and respond to internal procedures and documentation.
