Job Description

The Resource is assisting a fast-growing consumer products company in their search for a Vice President of Human Resources. This position will be located at company headquarters in Winston-Salem, NC. The perfect candidate will be passionate, self-motivated, and a change agent for the Company’s purpose and strategic direction. This position will be leading the Human Resources team and will provide high level services to diverse local and remote employees nationwide.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
-Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the organization's Human Resource function and performance.
-Lead direct reports and provide technical advice and knowledge.
-Create annual goals to manage the budget and measure the overall effectiveness of the Human Resources department.
-Participate in the development of the Company’s strategic plans and translate them into HR strategic and operational plans. Evaluate and advise on the impact of long range planning of new programs/strategies and regulatory action as those items impact the attraction, motivation, development and retention of the people resources of the Company.
-Develop appropriate policies, programs and manager training for effective management of the people resources of the organization. Included in this area (but not limited to) would be programs for employee relations, affirmative action, harassment prevention, addressing employee complaints, performance management/appraisal, supervisory training, and career development.
 

Job Requirements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
-Bachelor's degree required; Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
-10+ years human resources leadership experience, including five+ years of exposure to a multi-state, multi-unit environment; 10+ years leading a large team.
-PHR/SPHR designation and other advanced relevant certifications advantageous.
-Comfortable with travel
