Job Description

FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING- MS DYNAMICS

$18-$20/HOUR

HOURS: 8AM TO 430PM MONDAY THRU FRIDAY

 

  1. DESCRIPTION: Will assist the accounting department in creating timely and accurate financial statements and special financial projects. Will perform reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts, analyze product cost and various expense line items.

 

 

  1. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance

 

Experience: 3 years related

 

 

  1. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

DUTIES

 

  1. Complete month end accounting process
    1. Prepare and post journal entries on a monthly basis
    2. Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
    3. Prepare and print monthly financial statements
    4. General ledger analysis of accounts
  2. Analysis of various accounts
    1. Bank statement reconciliation
    2. Balance credit card (First Data) statements
    3. Analyze utility bills
    4. Analyze financial statements
  3. Assist with budgets
    1. Preparation assistance to include background spreadsheets
  4. Accounts receivable
    1. Prepare monthly statements
    2. Post payments
    3. Analyze customer accounts and follow up as needed
  5. Inventory reconciliation
    1. Prepare physical inventory roll-forwards
    2. Analyze monthly differences between Polaris and Xhost inventory balances.
    3. Audit & verify physical inventory counts
  6. Other duties as requested by management may include, but will not be limited to:
    1. Analyze product costing concerns
    2. Travel to stores for inventory and/or office procedure auditing

LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must have ability to read and interpret documents, write reports and routine correspondence. Must effectively communicate with coworkers, management and others in a courteous and professional manner.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Must possess technical skills in account reconciliation, cost analysis and month end close responsibilities. 

REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to work through problem analysis and problem resolution.

 

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Sufficient knowledge of computer programs, bookkeeping and accounting principles to accurately maintain company records. Must exhibit a high level of integrity and business ethics. Must be able to work independently and be able to work on many different projects at one time. Must be detail oriented and very organized.
