Job Description


Under the supervision of the President, this position will primarily be responsible for overseeing the franchise operations team who are responsible for providing effective and adequate support to Fresh Coat franchise owners.  This position will be directly involved with the strategic planning process to actively seek opportunities in process improvement or development of new revenue streams to increase brand growth and promotion, brand consistency, and overall business development.  Working cohesively as a team, this position will be responsible for providing the necessary and consistent training and management of the daily operations while effectively coaching, mediating and/or intervening in any franchise owner disputes when, or if, they have been escalated above what the franchise operations or training team can manage.  This position will deliver quality presentations and guidance in the planning of regional and national meetings, traveling for field visits or events as needed.   

1.  Oversee the franchise operations team, ensuring that quality and effective support is provided to Fresh Coat franchise owners

  • Oversee and frequently communicate with department and leadership to ensure than the brand operational priorities and training methods are aligned with the direction and goals of the brand
  • Effectively coach, mediate and/or intervene in any owner dispute, when (or if), they have been escalated above what the franchise operations team can manage
  • Establish strong working relationships with franchise owners, prospects, internal staff, clients, vendors, etc. acting as a solid leader representing the brand’s core values and brand standards always
  • Focus on driving owner’s revenue growth and business development
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the President
  • Support and communicate brand quality standards with owners, ensuring that the Fresh Coat vision and brand standards are followed—serving as the corporate franchisor representative and solid role model
  • Assist in financial and operational analysis identifying opportunities for franchise process improvement
  • Ensure that your team is appropriately adhering to the timely payment of royalties, national branding fees and other financial obligations of their assigned franchise owners
  • Conduct franchise field visits, when applicable or requested
  • Support, attend and present at regional and national meetings or events
  • Present to visiting franchisee candidates at our “Meet the Team Day" events and/or new owner trainings
  • Perform, or ensure that your team is performing the necessary financial, sales and marketing analysis of franchisee operations monthly
  • Provide consistent feedback, constructive criticism and coaching to the operations team—properly documenting performance
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures, sharing best practices with the operations team
  • Collaborate with other departments and executive team working cohesively as a team towards the overall mission and vision of the brand
2.  Other support and administrative tasks
  • Project management, planning and benchmark reporting on metrics
  • Participate in contract negotiations to ensure relevance and cost-efficiency are present
  • Complete required travel reimbursement documents, ensuring proper guidelines and procedures are followed

Job Requirements



  • Bachelor’s degree in management, business administration, or another related field required
  • Experienced manager required, with a general knowledge and understanding of applicable laws relating to personnel management
  • Franchise operations management experience preferred, but not required

  • Motivated, self-starter with strong team orientation
  • Ability to provide solid customer service and exercise diplomacy and confidentiality
  • Ability to provide individual and group-based presentation and trainings, being comfortable and confident with public speaking
  • Ability to meet the demands of multiple projects and deadlines effectively with minimum supervision
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications:  Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize a wide-ranging workload


Working Hours/Environment

  • Office hours are 40 per week – may require additional hours including evening and weekends depending on business needs
  • Work performed from franchise corporate office, travel when needed or requested

Tools and Equipment Used

  • Work laptop, phone and other typical office equipment


  • No more than 25% of the time

Physical & Mental Demands

  • Frequently required to sit at a desk/workstation for long periods of time
  • Ability to work at a computer terminal for extended periods of time
  • Digital dexterity and hand/eye coordination in operation of office equipment
  • Moderate lifting and carrying of deliveries, supplies, files, etc. – sometimes up to 40 lbs.
  • Ability to speak to and hear employees/clients via phone or in person
  • Body motor skills sufficient to enable incumbent to move around the office environment
  • Additional Mental Requirements: compare, decide, direct, problem solve, analyze, instruct, interpret
