Job Description

The incumbent is accountable to coordinate the operational functions of Tellers, promote timely and courteous service, oversee compliance with regulations and Branch operational policies and procedures, and assists in the evaluation of the teller staff. The incumbent assists with all sales initiatives and provides the highest quality of service to every customer. The incumbent is expected to be knowledgeable and proficient in processing deposits and payments, performing encashment, returning checks and performing service sales that may include the collection of fees.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Coordinates the operational functions of Tellers by scheduling work, providing direction, monitoring workflow, assisting with transaction balancing and maintaining daily cash items, maintaining supplies, opening and closing the office, preparing reports and resolving problems according to existing operational policies and procedures

2. Promotes timely and courteous service by ensuring questions are answered, providing friendly and accurate service, making proper referrals as necessary and meeting customer needs and expectations; upholds and meets customer service guidelines and helps teller staff to understand and deliver these guideline standards

3. Oversees compliance with regulations and Branch operational policies and procedures by performing audits relating to cash, performing weekly Monetary Instrument Log (MIL) reports on money orders and official checks, conducting branch security checks of alarm and video systems and completing required reports according to established policies, procedures and regulations accurately and timely

4. Assists in the evaluation of new tellers, provides direction, training, coaching, developing and monitoring of performance, motivates staff, communicates changes in policies and procedures

5. Assists Sales Platform with daily pre-shift huddles, branch incentive contests, and weekly teller referral goals

6. Responsible for set weekly referral goals and developing the teller staff’s referral skills

7. Performs Teller operational duties by conducting paying and receiving activities and processing work
while maintaining audit standards, security and control functions to protect the Bank from loss

8. Constructively interacts with co-workers

9. Cross-sells bank products through referrals

10. Performs other duties as needed

Job Requirements

1. High School diploma or educational equivalent

2. Three or more years of teller job-related experience or equivalent experiential knowledge, including knowledge of check cashing policies, procedures and government regulations

3. Ability to use a personal computer, job-related software programs and job-related general office equipment (i.e. calculator, telephone, copier, fax machine, etc.)

4. Knowledge of and has the ability to cross-sell Bank products and services

5. Ability to operate different Bank security devices and an ATM machine

6. Sales skills preferred
