Job Description


Position:                      Mid Market Sales Rep


Reports to:                   VP Sales


Territory:                      A combination of assigned accounts, geographic territory and assigned vertical markets with the account annual sales revenues between $100MM and $1B.  Target verticals include grocery; food & beverage; eCommerce; retail; distribution; discrete manufacturing; and bulk and process manufacturing.



Responsibilities:          Full cycle sales of Transportation Management SaaS platform and products in the assigned territory including the following:

  • Knowledge of TMS product, solution and services offerings and pricing
  • Development of an overall territory plan to attain quota
  • Full cycle sales engagement management
    • Needs Assessment
    • Solutions development
    • Business Case development
    • Qualification
    • Pricing & Proposals
    • Consensus building
    • Negotiation
    • Close management
  • Effective collaboration with sales resources
  • Lead and opportunity development as required to attain targets
  • Partner development as required
  • RFx response development and coordination
  • Timely pipeline, forecast, and reporting
  • Support of sales and marketing initiatives



Job Requirements

Qualifications:              3+ years experience selling SaaS B2B solutions with a complex sales process and involving the following skills:

  • Track record of quota attainment
  • Experience selling into accounts in the target market
  • Experience selling deals with ACV >$50K
  • Effective oral and written communications skills
  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP and inventory and warehouse software systems
  • Familiarity with transportation planning and execution
  • Familiarity with Dock, Warehouse, DC and terminal operations
  • Repeatable sales methodology involving
    • Needs assessment development
    • Value proposition formulation
    • Business case development
  • Successful closing methodology
