Job Description

Position Title: Loan Processing Support Assistant
Business Unit: Mortgage Administration
Reports To: Supervisor of Mortgage Processing

Position Overview:
This position is primarily responsible for gathering, organizing and processing residential mortgage loan documentation and establishing and maintaining loan documentation files. The incumbent functionally supports loan officers and staff, finalizes loan application packages and performs various administrative support duties. The incumbent provides the highest quality of service to every customer.

Primary Responsibilities:
Orders appraisal for all loans on day one of the file being assigned to processing. Maintains an appraisal order list, notifies the processors of receipt of the appraisal and orders completion certificates for any repairs that are required by the underwriter or for the completion of new construction.
Performs any necessary administrative duties for the mortgage group including meeting planning and preparation, ordering supplies, scheduling conference calls, reporting support, etc.
Performs various processing administrative support duties such as interacting with personnel from the credit bureau, various appraisal management companies and employers to exchange and verify information and performing other duties in support of job functions.
Functionally supports processing staff by facilitating the exchange of information necessary to complete loan transactions.
Maintains an understanding of compliance and regulatory risk relevant to processing mortgage loan applications.
Assists the Supervisor of Mortgage Processing and other Senior Managers within the Mortgage Department with all duties related to pipeline management such as reporting, call schedule, follow-up actions, etc.
Performs other related duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Education:
High School or GED

Minimum Years Experience:

Special Skills:
Excellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to use general office equipment
Ability to use a personal computer and job-related software
MS Word - Basic Level
MS Excel - Basic Level
MS PowerPoint - Basic Level
Knowledge of compliance issues, secondary market and job-related policies and procedures.
