Manage the publications portion of the department's budget and provide business models/recommendations throughout the year. In addition, oversee day-to-day postal, production, and advertising duties.

Responsible for the maintenance of the department's budget, reporting variances between the projected budget and actual invoices/spend. Reports financial discrepancies and keeps the department's senior management abreast of major budgetary changes.

Process and track internal and external advertising, including the calculation and monitoring of external sales commissions, along with the invoicing of Pioneer Valley's publication work.

Calculate the advertising/editorial percentage, providing a summary to senior management with any recommendations. Creates the publication thumbnail outline in accordance to ad sizing and business line needs. Track changes and status of external and internal advertising, notifying the Marketing-Traffic-Production Planner of any changes. Proofs external and internal advertising for correct version, size, placement and edition. Works closely with Production to ensure Add/Edit ratio is satisfactory per postal guidelines.

Serve as the primary liaison between Publications and the printer/mail processors; creates, monitors and manages the production schedule; Provides the printer and mail processor with all necessary documentation for publication.

Responsible for understanding and maintaining postal requirements as they pertain to the print publication and ensuring that publications are within regulation.

Manages the Publications Specialist to assist in accomplishing all aforementioned duties and performs other job-related duties as required.

• Coordinating and managing external and internal advertising
• Efficient communications with variety of stakeholders
• Must be adaptable, as the advertising and publication landscape is constantly changing

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Publication or f plus years equivalent experience.
• 4 years of experience in business or publications.

• Strong mathematical skills required, with the ability to perform some analysis of data using Excel databases.
• Strong written, verbal communication and organizational skills required, with the ability to multitask and set priorities.
• Superb attention to detail.
• Must have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint applications.
• Familiarity with Adobe software, including InDesign and Photoshop, helpful but not required.
