Job Description

The Mental Health Technician is responsible for supporting the nursing staff in maintaining a therapeutic milieu by performing routinely assigned tasks and carrying out patient care activities (vital signs, ADL, meal monitoring, ambulation and documentation of basic patient information). May include patient transportation responsibilities.

DAY AND NIGHT SHIFTS AVAILABLE

Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • CNA certification or at least 6 months of prior patient bedside care experience in a psychiatric environment is required.
  • Maintains current Chauffeur's License and a safe driving record.
  • CPR certified. .


San Marcos is a 24 bed facility. The WellBridge inpatient program offers adults 50 and older intensive, individualized mental healthcare in a hospital setting. Here, experienced psychiatrists and clinicians work to rapidly reduce the pain and anxiety of mental illness for patients and families, restore quality of life and facilitate ongoing good mental health. With experienced doctors and staff, modern comfortable environs and a wide range of specialized therapies, WellBridge helps most of its patients feel better and return home in about two weeks.

WellBridge IOP provides adult patients with a full range of mental health services–from initial diagnosis and treatment to ongoing maintenance and management. Patients visit our office-like IOP facility based on their level of need. Some patients attend therapy sessions and receive psychiatric care several times per week. Others visit periodically for individual or group therapy sessions and for medication management. WellBridge IOP makes the important process of managing mental health conditions easier by making high quality mental healthcare more accessible.
