Job Description

We are looking for a Associate Manager in Accounting (40 Hours a week) in our Elmwood Park, NJ location.

Schedule: Full Time

**Salary is dependent upon experience**

Overall Description:

Seeking an experienced professional with strong US GAAP skills to assist in driving the financial statement close and improvements to the ICOFR environment. The Associate Manager will work closely with Accounting and Finance staff and senior management as well as with various other departments to effect change throughout the growing organization.


Contribute towards and assist in supervising the monthly and quarterly accounting close including the preparation and review of journal entries.

Assist the Technical Accounting Manager with the performance of research on new accounting pronouncements and accounting guidance for new material transactions throughout the year.

Assist in the preparation and review of various account reconciliations and analysis, including Accounts Receivable and Revenue.

Assist in analyzing various trends within the business and working with various departments including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Payor Relations, and Budgeting / Forecasting to understand fluctuation period over period.

Contribute to the preparation of a monthly reporting package that summarizes results for the period and is then distributed to our parent organization and internal Senior Leadership to enhance their ability to make appropriate business decisions.

Contribute ideas and recommendations for enhancements or modifications to existing processes and systems.

Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of established internal control over financial reporting as it relates to the month-end accounting close process and escalate control issues to senior management.

Respond to internal and external audit request as well as any ad hoc request from senior leadership and our parent organization.

Knowledge & Skills:

Experience either performing controls work or working with auditors as it relates to ICOFR.

Strong analytical skill and demonstrated attention to detail.

Proficient in most Microsoft application, SAP Business One or XIFIN experience is an added benefit but not required.

Willingness to work hard, take coaching and contribute to a team environment focused on improving the core accounting / finance function of an organization.

Not required, but revenue recognition experience and knowledge or healthcare specific knowledge is an added benefit.

Minimum Qualifications:

Work experience in Finance or Accounting (client side corporate or Big 4 consulting)

Work experiences applying US GAAP skills

Work experience managing direct reports

BS in Business, Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred

Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint or similar applications

Preferred Qualifications:

Healthcare industry Revenue Recognition experience either Payor or Provider side.

Work experience performing controls work or working with auditors as it relates to ICOFR

SAP or XIFIN experience
