Job Description

Element Consulting Group has an immediate need for a combination of Desktop Support and SAP Troubleshooting consultant.  This position will be located in Hickory, NC and will cover night shifts (7PM to 7AM It alternates 2 on 2 off and 3 on then 2 off) with some overtime expected.

This position will provide support to users including problem recognition, research, isolation, resolution and follow-up steps.  The ideal candidate is someone who is embodies the below skillset:
  • Is able to resolve some problems immediately, while more complex problems are assigned to second level support.  
  • Maintains a troubleshooting tracking log ensuring timely resolution of problems.  
  • Has detailed knowledge of one skill area or basic knowledge of several skills.
  • Frequent use of SAP and application of technical standards, principles, theories, and concepts and techniques.  
  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
  • Works under general supervision. Follows established procedures. 
  • May provide solutions to technical problems
  • Contributes to the completion of milestones associated with specific projects.
  • SAP and Desktop experience as well as SharePoint and service now being nice to haves.
  • At least 2 years of IT experience, even desktop or call center experience would count towards this.
  • 2 year degree or higher required.
  • Desktop support and Service now experience is a plus and ITIL foundation is a bonus.
