Job Description

Location:  305  7th Avenue, New York, NY 10001

Hours:       35 Hours/Week; Exempt                                                       


Job Summary: The Program Evaluation and Planning (PEP) Department oversees agency-wide efforts in performance management, promotes implementation of evidence-based practice, and supports evidence-generating activities.  The SBC Coordinator will manage the implementation of SBC at GSS by supporting staff in mastering the SBC casework practice model throughout various GSS programs and ensuring model fidelity.  This position will closely collaborate with the SBC Implementation Team and program staff across the agency to promote effective practice and sustainability of SBC. 



Major Duties:



Serve as Head SBC Coach/Trainer:

  • Facilitate regular coaching sessions with SBC coaches, supervisors and case planners to support staff in becoming certified in SBC and in using the model with ongoing fidelity
  • Attend programs’ on-site case consultation meetings as needed
  • Develop curriculum and conduct new staff and specific skills-based trainings  
  • Share best practices across programs

Monitor fidelity to SBC model and use data and research evidence to strengthen services:

  • Support programs in strategizing and executing plans to improve practice and fidelity to the
    model
  • Collaborate with PEP Senior Program Analyst around SBC outcomes and research
  • Develop relevant fidelity and outcomes tracking tools and report on progress
  • Collaborate with PEP Child Welfare Project Manager to conduct record reviews and provide feedback to programs
  • Maintain Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database and produce related reports to track certification progress
  • Collaborate with SBC model developer as needed

Coordinate implementation efforts and plans:

  • Participate in SBC consortium of child welfare agencies meetings, including regular meetings with other agencies’ SBC Coordinators
  • Coordinate SBC Implementation Team meetings and activities
  • Develop and maintain SBC communication tools, binders and forms
  • Orient new and/or interested GSS programs to SBC
  • Assist with other implementation activities as needed


Job Requirements

 Qualifications:



  • Master’s degree in Social Work or related field preferred


  • Clinical/case management experience required


  • Ability to facilitate groups and conduct trainings required


  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of SBC model; practice experience preferred


  • Ability to collaborate with multiple programs/divisions and all levels of staff


  • Willingness and ability to travel to program sites throughout the boroughs on a regular
    basis


  • Familiarity with program evaluation approaches and implementation science


  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills


  • Strong customer service sensibility


  • Proficient in MS Office
