Under the supervision of the Program Coordinator, the Counselor delivers substance abuse treatment services to clients. responsible for the administration, supervision, and direction of clinical activities involved in establishing a complete treatment environment.


• Handles a caseload, delivering all treatment components to assigned clients; develops and revises individual treatment plans, assesses client progress, provides individual and group counseling

• Participates in case conferences to assess client progress, where needed; makes recommendation for changes in treatment planning and advancement to the next treatment level.

• Must be available on an “on-call” basis at all times.

• Performs other duties as assigned.



• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Family Therapy

• NYS license; LMSW, LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT


• Minimum of three (3) years of related experience


• Familiarity with regulations governing Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Services preferred


Flexible: Days and Evening shifts available; Weekend availability is required.
