Responsibilities of this position include:
  • Using professional cardiovascular theory, technology and process to implement, coordinate and assist with direct patient care on adult and geriatric patients requiring invasive diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures
  • Preparing and performing cardiac stress test procedures including, but not limited to, exercise treadmill studies and pharmacologic studies and collect information pertinent to their interpretation
  • Preparing patients for holter monitoring studies, including instructing patients in the use of a diary
  • Use of professional cardiovascular theory, technology and process to implement, coordinate and assist with direct patient care on adult and geriatric patients requiring invasive diagnostic or therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
  • Graduate of cardiovascular technology or radiography technology
  • 2+ years professional experience in Cardiovascular technology or radiology technology
  • Previous cardiac catherization experience required
  • RCIS, CVT, RT and/or Paramedic required
  • Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (BLS) required

Physical Demand Analysis:
  • Physical Requirements: Standing for extended periods of time; sitting, and walking. Occasionally must be able to lift and carry up to 35lbs. Frequently must be able to push/pull patients or equipment up to 200 lbs. Occasional bending, stooping, twisting, crouching, kneeling, climbing and turning. Manual dexterity is required.
  • Visual Requirements: Frequent exposure to VDT's. Alternating activity including reading handwritten and computer generated information, Position requires ability to perform moderately difficult manipulative skills and hand-eye coordination skills; ability to see objects closely; ability to see in low light conditions.
  • Hearing Requirements: Must be able to hear normal sounds with background noises. Must be able to complete blood pressure assessments using a stethoscope. Must be ableto hear normal and low-voice volumes with frequent telephone communications.
  • Working Conditions: This is a diagnostic laboratory setting in an isotope radiation environment.
