The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed subject matter expertise for government programs, such as Meaningful Use, Physician Quality Reporting System, Value-based Modifier, and Medicare Access and Children’s Health Insurance Program Reauthorization Act, in the ambulatory healthcare space. The Senior Business Analyst manages the development, implementation, training, and support of government and other quality programs across the HCA Physician Services enterprise.

DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
  • Ensures a standardized and consistent approach to the implementation, training, and measurement of government and other quality programs across the HCA Physician Services enterprise.
  • Monitors compliance/completion of requirements for government and quality programs and implements action plans as needed for successful program reporting.
  • Appropriate and timely escalation in a matrix organization.
  • Engages other team members and/or other departments as necessary to mitigate issues and reach resolutions.
  • Serves as the business representative in development of business intelligence tools that support government and other quality programs.
  • Directs the design and implementation of business requirements for reporting and analytics that support government and other quality programs.
  • Closely collaborates with business partners to build EHR and operational tools that support government and other quality programs,
  • Develops/coordinates education plans related to government and other quality programs.
  • Directly assists learners in the assessment of needs and identification of outcomes.
  • Evaluates the effectiveness of educational programming.
  • Serves as an educational consultant to HCA Physician Services Group practices, task forces, committees, and projects relating to policy and procedures.
  • Manages multiple on‐going projects and preparation of presentations of findings and recommendations.


Job Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
  • Previous experience working with the analysis and implementation of government or quality programs such as Meaningful Use, PQRS, Core Measures, etc. highly desired.
  • Detailed working knowledge of ambulatory healthcare operations and clinical informatics preferred.
  • Moderate to advanced Excel skills and previous exposure to business intelligence and analytics tools (such as Business Objects, MicroStrategy, Tableau, etc).
  • Advanced analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly draw conclusions and make recommendations required.
  • Previous training experience desired.
  • Strong teamwork skills and comfort working in a highly collaborative environment; this is a high profile and fast paced team.
  • A comfort, or even preference, for an environment of discovery and uncertainty.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to perform work, special assignments, and tasks under only very general supervision.
  • Ability to work under pressure and overtime (evenings and weekends) as needed.
  • Some travel may be required.
EDUCATION: 
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Clinical experience a plus.
EXPERIENCE: 
  •  3-7 years relevant experience required.
