Job Description


Manages projects and implements best practices within warehousing and distribution in Dal-Tile and other Mohawk divisions.


  • Reviews and implements warehousing and distribution best practices for Dal-Tile and other business units within Mohawk, both domestic and international.

  • Manages warehousing and distribution projects from conception through implementation while working across organizational lines and with multiple internal and external entities.

  • Ensures that the latest innovations in warehousing technology, automation, equipment, picking/putaway strategies, processes, hardware and software solutions are constantly reviewed and their use within Dal-Tile and Mohawk is continually evaluated.

  • Identifies and recommends appropriate use of the latest technologies and concepts, material handling equipment, storage media types and new software solutions to reduce cost and increase productivity in distribution and warehousing

  • Maximizes the use of existing systems to increase efficiency and productivity while reducing cost.

  • Supports the implementation of new systems such as WMS, LMS/WFM systems and ERP systems.

  • Recommends revisions to warehouse layouts to improve the flow of products and reduce handling.

  • Increases the utilization of equipment, labor and other resources within warehouses.

  • Reviews and revises labor standards and quality standards within warehouses.

  • Works with cross-functional teams within logistics, operations, technology, finance and other business units to achieve the goals.


Education and Knowledge:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field.

Master’s degree preferred


7+ years of work experience in warehousing and distribution

Knowledge of WMS, ERP systems and LMS/WFM systems is preferred

Demonstrated project management skills


Excellent verbal and written communication skills

MS Office suite - MS Access, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word

Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Familiarity with financial planning

Knowledgeable of latest trends in warehouse technology, automation, concepts, etc.
