Job Description


This position manages, plans and directs all aspects of engineering activities within the company.

Key Responsibilities and Priorities:

Primarily manages the intellectual development of the company through its team of engineers

Develop new engineering platforms, applications and markets for Ohmites product offering.

Work with Sales team to develop commercially viable solutions to drive revenue generation.

Partner with the Operations team to streamline production processes and assist in production cost minimization.

Lead Engineering project completion through detailed timelines and deliverables, driving accountability to the team.

Identify design risks and incorporate safety processes into design

Liaise with the Production Engineering team to ensure product line maintenance intact.

Works closely with Marketing, New Product Development and Quality Engineering departments to resolve potential issues during new product launch and customer complaints

Organizes in-depth product and process failure investigations to determine root causes of failures and to implement effective corrective and preventive actions.

Assists with outside manufacturer selection, evaluation and communication.

Develops and maintains product and/or process documentation.

Position Consults with:

Sales, Operations, Finance, Quality, Executive level

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Success in new product line or platform creation and market launch

Ability to work with Sales, Operations, Marketing, Finance

Superior analytical, problem solving, and decision-making capabilities

Experience developing accurate cost-estimates and budgets

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to manage and organize teams to meet project deadlines and complete projects on time and within budget

Demonstrated experience in project leadership and management of a technical staff

Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed

Spanish speaker a plus

Managerial experience strongly required

Years of Experience Required: 10 - 15+ years of experience in the field

Job Requirements

Education Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering Degree preferred
