Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an Engineer Technologist I to join an intermingled team of engineers, technologists and military veterans. This position will be located in Mount Laurel, NJ where Technology and Teamwork come together! The qualifying candidate will apply their skills to provide Engineering and Technical support of C4I for Aegis Technical Representative (AEGIS TECHREP) in Moorestown, NJ. They will be exposed to the full software life-cycle from requirements development through integration and testing.

Candidate's primary role will involve support of the US Navy and specifically the TECHREP customer in verification of various design performance aspects involving the integration of the AEGIS Weapon System with Ballistic Missile Defense functionality in an AEGIS Combat System environment. The activity will feature customer support with test program implementation, execution, analysis, and report out in support of government computer program certification decisions. The selected candidate will be expected to apply knowledge of the AEGIS Weapon System & the integrated Ballistic Missile Defense capabilities in test programs and environments designed to verify government acceptance requirements were met by the system developer. The candidate will perform real-time and post-event data analysis and will utilize automation tools and IDEs such as Eclipse to manipulate data/code written in Java and C++. The selected candidate will define the root cause of software errors within the AEGIS Combat System after conducting data analysis. The qualifying candidate must be able to speak to their data analysis sessions and will be able to justify software changes based on their findings. The candidate will report technical findings, compliance issues, progress, and other imperative items in a well written document to internal management and to the TECHREP customer in a timely manner.

One or more of the following abilities would be considered central to the position: US Navy / AEGIS experience (OS, FC, GM, ST, ET, STO, CSMM, etc.); computer programming/development experience; perform and/or witness system level integration of computer programs, collection of relevant data, analysis of test results, documentation of equipment failures, tracking of problem resolutions, and reporting out on the findings.

Generally, this position is first shift, but some second and/or third shift hours may be required. The position may occasionally involve travel to external test sites and might include off hours testing dictated by external factors governing equipment availability.


Minimum Education And Experience
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Required Skills And Education
-Security clearance requirement: Must be eligible toobtain and maintain a DoDsecurity clearance (U.S. Citizenshiprequired). The selected candidate will receive a contingent offer and startdate will be delayed until after the clearance is granted.

- Experience with C++.

- Experience with Linux.

-Experience with Java languages.

-Ability to analyze basic computer program performance from collected data.

-Technical writing and editing ability.

-Working knowledge / ability with Microsoft Office Suite andAdobe Office applications.
